Welcome back to Huntington Drive Elementary for the 2026–2027 school year! Led by Principal Luis Velasco, our dedicated team is eager to partner with families to foster a nurturing environment where every child thrives intellectually, socially, and emotionally.

This year, alongside our strong foundation in state standards, we are placing an extra focus on hands-on science exploration and expressive writing projects to inspire curiosity and bold ideas. Beyond academics, we emphasize character development by daily modeling respect, kindness, and leadership.

We believe open communication is key to student success and encourage parents to stay connected through Schoology, ClassDojo, monthly newsletters, and our school website. Mark your calendars for our first day of school on Wednesday, August 12, at 8:00 AM, and join us for Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, September 1, from 4:15 – 6:00 PM. The Parent/Student Handbook for the 2025-26 school year is an important resource for understanding school and district policies, procedures, and available resources. It can be downloaded from the Division School of Operations Website. A limited number of physical copies will also be available at the school in the next few weeks.
