Huntington Drive Elementary Welcomes You!

Principal Luis Velasco warmly welcomes parents and students back to Huntington Drive Elementary for the 2025-2026 school year, starting Thursday, August 14th, at 8:00 AM. The school emphasizes a collaborative environment where parents, students, teachers, and the community work together to foster intellectual, social, and emotional growth.

This year's focus includes building academic skills, critical thinking, and creativity through an engaging curriculum aligned with California State standards. There's also a strong commitment to character development and positive values like respect, responsibility, and kindness.

Open communication between home and school is highly encouraged, with updates shared via Schoology, newsletters, the school website, and ClassDojo. Parents are invited to Back-to-School Night on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 4:15 PM to 6:00 PM, to meet teachers and learn about programs. Additional resources, including the school calendar, attendance policy, and tentative classroom assignments, are provided. The principal looks forward to a successful partnership in creating an exceptional educational experience.

Parent/Student Handbook for 2025-26

The Parent/Student Handbook for the 2025-26 school year is an important resource for understanding school and district policies, procedures, and available resources. It can be downloaded from the Division School of Operations Website. A limited number of physical copies will also be available at the school in the next few weeks. Families are encouraged to review the handbook, and any questions can be directed to the school at 323-223-1336.
